Toyota Australia Initiates Customer Service Exercise For Security Alarm Mis-Activation On Landcruise

Toyota Australia has today announced that it will initiate a Customer Service Exercise (CSE) to address security alarm mis-activation on a range of Toyota LandCruiser 300 vehicles produced between 4th February 2025 – 23rd September 2025. There are approximately 7,570 vehicles involved in the Australian market.

When the involved vehicles are in a locked state for one hour or more, once the vehicle is unlocked, the alarm may sound. The alarm will continue to sound until the vehicle is "unlocked" a second time (eg. by pressing the unlock button on the wireless remote once more). The concern occurs using the wireless remote or the smart entry system to unlock the vehicle.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will reprogram ECU software free of charge to owners.

Inspection and reprogramming will take approximately 30 minutes. Depending on the Dealer's work schedule, owners may be required to make the vehicle available for a longer period of time.

Toyota Australia will contact all owners of involved vehicles to provide details of this CSE campaign. Owners are asked to keep their contact details up to date with Toyota so future communications can be received.

Owners with additional questions or concerns are asked to please contact their local/preferred Toyota Dealer in the first instance or the Toyota Campaign Helpline on 1800 987 366 (Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm AEDT). Please quote your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
